Again Yes Lady

Again I have turned into the YES lady.  This time I am kind of excited because I get to experiment with my favorite thing CUPCAKES!!
I am making over 90 cupcakes for my wards Mother Day's Treat.  My plan is to make tons of different flavors. Chocolate with peanut butter frosting filling, Chocolate Mint, Lemon Strawberry or maybe just Strawberry, Gluten Free Chocolate and Raspberry Chocolate cupcake.  They will all have vanilla frosting but thankful someone else will be doing the decorating.  Did I forget to mention I will be baking all day Saturday before Mothers Day.
I am super excited to bake I just hope the chocolate raspberry turns out.  So far I have attempted twice and so far the house smells like chocolate and raspberries but the cupcakes taste like chocolate.
I LOVE CUPCAKES I do not like decorating them.

YES

For some unknown reason I have become a YES person. Kristen White in my ward called me and ask me to perform with 5 other women for Chandler AZ 100th celebration of Relief Society to be preform at the Chandler Art center May 5th.
I have no idea why I said yes but I did and now I am singing, dancing and reciting lines.  10 years ago this is all I dreamed of was preforming and I loved!  Now it scares me to death!  The last time I performed on a stage was college and it was for my acting class.  I am very grateful that we are one of 15 groups for this 90 min performance.
Thankful I am with a group of talented women and one who has an amazing voice.  The song is really fast and surprising really hard but most of it is song by Stephine and I have a little solo within the song.
No I am not going to record this anyone to see expect for the people attending.
On that note the City of Chandler Mayor and member of the counsel have been invited along with the Govern and other state representatives.
PRAY for me to do not pass out on stage and that I can belt out my part of the song because that is what the director wants me to do.

Bill Maher I hope you never have kids!!

"No one is denying that being a mother is a tough job; I remember I was a handful," "But you know there is a big difference between being a mother, and that tough job, and getting your ass out the door at 7 a.m. when it's cold, having to deal with the boss, being in a workplace, or even if you're unhappy you can't show it for eight hours."

Thank you Bill Maher! You are so right about being a stay at home mom is so much easier than a 9-5 job. I was thinking the late nights of holding a baby throwing up all over me, and teaching a stubborn 4 year old to potty train was a piece of cake. After all when I am unhappy I get to be grumpy around my house because it doesn't effect anyone but me. WOW!! I have worked and had a 6 month old who never slept and guess what working and not sleeping was way EASIER than staying at home 24 hours a day.
Working and staying at home is like comparing apples to oranges. It doesn't work.
I wish after 8 hours of work I could just shut the door and go home but I can't. After a long emotional day of diaper changing, hurt fingers, undone laundry because someone needs attention, pick kids up and dropping kids off at different activities, making meals that no one wants to eat, clean up after making dinner, taking an hour to get everyone to bed, only than cleaning up the final mess of the day. Than all I want to do is spend a few quite hours with my husband or by myself but in reality I have someone waking up sick, or scared. I than take the next several hours or all night to take care of the little ones before I and hope to get some sleep before midnight. Guess what it starts all over again the very next day.
The thing I also have the best job because instead of money I get hugs, kisses and told I am beautiful every single day by the most amazing kids.

I know he says things to get a raise out of people. Yup he got me!

Conversations Going on today

(They have always played well together)
Martin, Roxie and Zoey are outside playing in a bucket of water and I over hear the following conversation.
Martin: Roxie you are dead.
Roxie: No I do not want to be dead.
Martin: Stop moving you are dead.
Roxie: I'm not going to be dead. Olivia can be dead.
Martin: Ok Olivia is dead.
Roxie: Wait. Martin who is Olivia?
Martin: I don't know but she is dead.
Roxie: OK.

Zoey is basically saying in the back ground: HI. HI. Oh No
Martin and Roxie scream: NOOOOOOOOOO
well there went our magic water. I guess everyone is back to being alive
Roxie: All expect the cow.
Martin: Quick shoot every!!

Where did a cow come into play.
I love little kids imaginations. It is so much fun to hear them play and the sweet giggles!!
I love being a mom.

Migraines

Last week and starting today I have been suffering from migraines. I have tired everything to get rid of it but nothing seems to work expect caffeine or Tylenol with codeine. When I mean work it helps take the big pain away but I have dull ache and my eyes are really sensitive.
The girls have been really good for being stuck in a dark house and I have been to grateful for Doug because Wednesday he picked the kids up and took them out shoe shopping and dinner. Sunday he left me have some quite time until church.
Friday things were looking up and we tired to get Zoey and Roxie's photos taken but instead it ended up with some funny family photos. Saturday Roxie had a screaming fit and I developed another migraine and spent all day in a dark house and Sunday I just suffered in peace at church.
I keep praying everyday that I will wake up without pain or my eyes being sensitive to light. Everyone has advice which I am more than willing to accept but so far everyone suggest I seen a neurologist. After visiting with my family doctor they informed me once I am done having babies and nursing they will but me on prescription medicine to control the migraines but until then they really can't do anything for me. Oh well life goes on.

Something New Everyday

Recently Roxie has been doing everything in her power to get Zoey in trouble. Here is a conversation we had with the two girls:

Roxie: Dad Zoey put her fingers in my mouth!
Dad: Roxie take Zoeys fingers out of your mouth.
Roxie: Dad I am going to bite Zoeys fingers because she isn't taking them out of my mouth.
Dad: Roxie just move away from Zoey.
Roxie: I moved but her fingers are still in my mouth.
On Cue Zoey cries
Roxie: She wouldn't take her fingers out of my mouth. So I bit her so I could move.

I am pretty sure you can imagine who got in trouble.

Next Day
Roxie: Mom Zoey is touching me.
Me: Move away from Zoey
Roxie: Mom she is hitting me and if she doesn't stop I am going to hit Zoey.
Me: Roxie if you hit Zoey you are going to be in trouble. Just move away from Zoey.
on cue Zoey is screaming
Me: Roxie what did you do?
Roxie: She didn't move so I could move so I pushed her down.

Zoey walks up to me and says "Mama" and points saying "Roxie" and than processes to talk really fast in an upset tone. I have no idea what she said but she calmed down when I said "Does Zoey want a cookie?"
I put Zoey in time out and Roxie in time out and some how in the matter of seconds both girls were screaming because Zoey was touching Roxie from across the room and Zoey was crying because she fell off the train. By the way they couldn't see each other and Zoey's time out is a small ABC train.

Did I forget to mention this goes on all day long every single day. Its a good thing I have a great since of humor otherwise I might go even more crazy!

Who knew an Ice Box Could be so much fun

Zoey waiting for Roxie to pop out

Yesterday the kids found the Ice Box and decided it was the best toy in the whole world to play with and at one point everyone went to time out because they couldn't share the box.
I guess I could get rid of some toys and give the kids each there own ice box.

Goofy Zoey

Just some fun pictures of Zoey. She kept repeating "Cheese" when I would say cheese.
Zoey has a few more words to add to her list:
Mamma
Dadda
Martin
Roxie
Zooey
Go
Ear
Bye
Cheese
No
Nose Kind of sounds like nose
I love You
Again.
She doesn't talk all the time but when she does she doesn't stop.
She also knows Where her Head, ears, nose, mouth, hands, and feet are. She is really funny but still very clingy.
