Its Hot!!

It has been a very very hot week here in Arizona. The temperature have been between 110-115 and if your car is in the sun all day it will registered about 122.
I really do not mind the heat if I can escape it but unfortunately that means staying inside the house all day. Roxie and Zoey have been going a little stir crazy and in turn have been trying to drive me crazy. The good news is Doug will be coming home from his business trip and the girls will be able to drive more than one parent crazy. The bad news the heat doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Next week it is suppose to be around 105-111. The only reason I can put up with the heat is because in two months while everyone else is starting their cold winter I will be sitting pretty at 70-90.

My Roxie

At church today I had not one, not two but three sisters come up to me and tell me how wonderful Roxie is and what a joy she is. I tried very hard not to laugh because she is a hellion.
I guess a girl hit Roxie in nursery and when the leader told the other girl to apologize Roxie said
"I forgive you." Another week Roxie needed a diaper change and went to the leader and said "I'm sorry to bug you but I pooped and I need my diaper changed. I need my daddy or mommy."
Whenever I talk about Roxie and how she will hit her brother or yell at the top of her lungs I get " Heidi that is not the little Roxie I know and she can not be that bad." I tell them to come over and see the small holes I need to repaint in my wall from her throwing a toy when I say "NO." or "Give that back to Martin."
Many ward member including the bishop have fallen in love with my "Sweet" little Roxie. To be honest I love hearing how good she in public knowing she does know how to behave. Now if she would be that nice with her baby sister and big brother.

8 Years, 6 cars, 3 kids and 1 house. No Pets Yet

Yes I am a little behind with my blog but that is the life of a mom of three. I'm happy if i get a shower every other day.
For our 8th wedding anniversary Doug ask me to pick North or West. I picked North for a weekend away in the cooler climates. We headed up to Sedona which is south of Flagstaff and is one of the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Its know for its red rocks, Oak Creek river and canyon, beautiful hiking and oh I almost forgot the Vortexes.
Since Zoey is still nursing we took her along and learned a very important lesson. Zoey is a home body and she loves sleeping at home, eating at home and most importantly she doesn't scream at home. The first night there she screamed almost all night. I think we slept maybe three hours. Zoey was in the processes of cutting three teeth. We stayed at Poco Diablo Resort (Zoey's nickname) in one of their Juzicas Suits. It was a really nice, quite resort and no one was hitting us up for a timeshare.
We went to Flagstaff Sunday and found it raining and hailing so we headed for The Riordan historic home tour near NAU campus. Two brothers married two sisters and they built the house together for their families. One lived in the East Wing and the other lived in the West Wing. It was a beautiful home and it was nice to get out of the rain. We headed back to Sedona and enjoyed a beautiful drive down the canyon making notes of other place and things we would like to see an do when it isn't raining.
We walked down the main city center\shopping area looking for a charm for my bracelet and found that Sedona has really changes for good and bad.
Monday we were going to go hiking around Cathedral Rock but apparently it was very popular place to hike on a Monday morning so we than headed to another hiking area but by the time we got there, changed Zoey's diaper, Nursed and got everything ready we needed to start heading home to pick Martin up from school.
It was a wonderful getaway even if we didn't get much sleep. Next year no babies and I hope to go camping in Sedona.
These last 8 years have been one big adventure. I married my best friend, had three beautiful diablo's, and one beautiful home I can't seem to every get clean. I am so very blessed even though some days I feel cursed I know I am blessed.

Good Bye Old Friend

This last week I said good bye to my first car. She was a good car and went over 100,000 miles. She was my first car that I bought and pay for all by myself. She was with me when I moved to Arizona, She was with me when I got married, She was with me when I had not one but three babies. I will miss my baby girl she was a great investment and will always be apart of me.
I cried when I said good bye and Martin said " Some day I will by that car so I can drive it."
Good Bye old Friend and welcome Doug's new 2007 Lexus is350.

Life is anything but dull.

We are all still alive just really busy. I fell down the stairs two weeks ago and sprained my ankle and bused me other knee. I thought I would have healed by now but apparently the older you get the more time you need to heal. I find that really unfair.
Grandma and Grandpa Bremner along with Cenneidigh (the kids cousin) came to visit for a few days on their way back up to Austin MN. The kids had fun with Cenneidigh and Roxie never wanted to let go of her Grandpa Bremner. Than things began to "quite down." until Zoey decided to cut four teeth all at once and than I am up every night at lest threes time trying to comfort her. I am basically wandering in a fog most days and IF I can catch a cat nap I do without even knowing it sometimes.
Martin and I are reading The Harry Potter books but I think it is more I am read the books and Martin is wondering around his room. Although when his teacher asked what his favorite books are he said Harry Potter because it is about wizards and magic. I guess he is listening a little.
Martin loves school but wishes he didn't have homework. Don't we all.

Congratulation to my Mom and Dad who have been married 43 years and in a few days Doug and I will have been married 8 years!!

Zoey is pulling herself up on everything and climbing the stairs as well. She has three official words Dada, Mama and Mar. She loves her brother Martin and he can get her to laugh all the time. I love watching the two play. He got her so excited she fell over laughing and screaming. I only wish I had caught that on camera. Sorry for the lack of pictures but I get attack by a little Zoey and she likes to suck on things like camera.
