Christmas was CRAZY!!

Christmas Eve we went to the Temple Lights and attempted at takes a family picture. Out of 10 this was the one one where everyone was looking at the camera.

Christmas morning was a very interesting morning with Martin only wanting to open one or two present and wanting to only play with those. He loved the books Grandma and pa Bremner sent to him specially the Curious George book. Roxie loved her dress and gave it a lot of hugs but I wasn't quick enough and I missed the shot. Santa bought Roxie her very own chair to sit in and boy she loved it. I bought her new shoes which she huge. Grandma and pa Bremner sent me the Josephus book that I have already started to read and it is AWESOME. What can I say I am a NERD at heart.
I thought I had finally bought Doug the greatest present a Multi-tool that does everything and I thought NOTHING could top it...I was wrong. Lisa and David sent Doug one of the first game systems from when he was a kid. Yup she beat me without ever knowing it. His eyes lit of so big I thought they were going to pop right out. THANK YOU LISA!!

We than headed over to Grandpa and ma Wimmers for breakfast and round 2 of Christmas presents. Grandpa Wimmer bought Doug a grill, Martin received a glow doodle and he loves it!! Roxie and I received also wonderful and fun Christmas presents from everyone. Grandma Wimmer wants to make sure Doug and I are prepared she gave us the beginning of your 72 hour kits in backpacks we can carry.
Again we had a wonderful Christmas with family and the kids enjoyed every second of it.

What happened in a year

Posted by Picasa

What a busy year starting off at the end of December Roxie Jane was born a very beautiful healthy little girl. January came to show me that 30 wasn't going to be all that bad and February was wonderful because our little girl was sleeping though the night. March came in like a Lion and didn't go out like a Lamb but instead we purchased our first home and started to move in. April was a sad and happy month with our beloved Grandpa Connett dying but at the same time being able to see my 6 other siblings and Grandma and pa Bremner were able to meet Roxie Jane and Lily Jane the newest additions to the Wimmer\Bremner clan.
May was one of the hottest months so when Memorial Day came Roxie was able to go swimming for the first time and Martin decided clothes where much more fun to wear in the pool than a swimsuit. June Martin turned the big 3 and we enjoyed celebrating by going to Amazing Jakes and Martin and I drove go-carts and had a blast. July 4th Doug and I were busy shopping for furniture for our new home and found a beautiful dinning table and a soft couch. August Doug and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary with going to Ruth Chris and take our first family vacation to San Diego with Martin and Roxie. Roxie and Martin enjoyed seeing the ocean for the first time.
September school started again and Martin,Roxie and I saw a little less of Dad. I also became obsessed with Making Tutus for girls. October was Halloween and Roxie wore on of my many home made tutus and Martin dress up like a missionary. November was Dad's birthday and I surprised him with a outdoor fire pit so during those cold Arizona nights we could enjoy a wonderful fire. IT GETS COLD HERE 65 during the day and 35 at night!! December what a wonderful time of the year. Martin wasn't so sure about Santa and really didn't want to sit on his lap. When Martin would be asked if what Christmas is about it his answer was" It is the very special birthday of Jesus Christ our big brother." When asked about present sometimes he would say " They are Jesus present and he wants us to open and play with them."
The end of the year is almost here with Roxie's 1st birthday and the new year!!

My early Christmas Presents

As most of you know Christmas arrived a little early this year because our dishwasher decided it no longer wanted to clean dishes and well our refrigerator scared me because I always thought at any second it was going to die. Than doug asked me if I was doing anything on the 23rd because something was going to be delivered and at 2:20pm a new couch and ottoman arrived at my door step. No more goodwill couch for 30$!!! What a great Christmas surprise and a wonderful husband.

I headed off to Carters on Saturday to find Roxie a Christmas dress and came across to AMAZING DEALS. Two dress for 20$ the head band cost more than one of the dresses. Martin spent the night at Grandma so I will get pictures of him next week.

Who is Santa

So the other day I was sitting and talking with Martin and I thought I should find out what he thinks of Christmas.

Me: Martin what do you think of the Christmas Lights? What do you think of the tree?
Martin: I love the light and I love the tree they are beautiful.
Me: Martin what is Christmas?
Martin (Putting his finger to his head thinking) Christmas is the special birthday of Jesus Christ.
Me (I was shocked because I had mention that Christmas was the special birthday of our bother Jesus Christ. I had no idea he had been listening.) That right do you know why we get gift and who Santa is?
Martin: NOPE. Because Everyone gets gifts on their birthdays and Jesus wants us to have his. Who Santa?

I was a very proud mom because every time some asked him about Christmas he always says it is Jesus Christ Birthday and never mentions Santa. Now don't get me wrong I have tired to sit him down and have him watch the Christmas specials but he just doesn't care.

Christmas at the Wimmers

Charles Dickens:
Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home!

I'm so blessed in so many ways

Midnight lights, Sleep Talking, Colds and Christmas Shopping

So this week has been busy... Starting off with Roxie and her never ending cold. I decided last Sunday not to take the kids to church because both of them had runny noses and coughs. Martins Cough cleared up but Roxie's Runny nose and cough has only gotten worse. So again back to sleepless night. Roxie is also getting in two new teeth so HOPEFULLY she will be feeling better soon. (10 teeth total) Roxie is a really good sick baby. She still laughs, rolls around on the floor, crawls everywhere and yes she is still trying to walk. Except for the runny nose and cough I would have never know she was sick. I do miss however the fact that she still doesn't want to cuddle even when she is sick.

Wednesday night Doug decided it was time to decorate the outside of the house for Christmas (9pm) but first the large bush (width of tow people) in the front yard needed to be trimmed and than we needed to rake up all the leaves it left behind so around midnight we finished putting up the Christmas lights on our first home. It was cold (ARIZONA) around 35 degrees so Hot Chocolate was in order before bed.

Yesterday Roxie was still coughing and had a pretty good runny nose but she was determined to give me a kiss and she planted one big kiss on my lips and about a second after the kiss she sneezed all over me and lets just say it wasn't pretty. Martin also informed me that we are celebrating Jesus Christ Birthday and boy it is fun! Still working on explaining Christmas to Martin.

Last night around 1:30 am I wake up to Doug saying " Grandpa fall is he ok? Are you ok? Do you need kisses?" The conversation went on for a 1\2 hour. At first I was laughing so hard but after a while I wanted to get back to sleep but I didn't want to wake Doug up because once he is up he has a hard time falling back asleep. So I suffered though 1\2 hour of "Are you ok, are you sure and let me kiss it better."

Even with all this going on I'm totally excited for Christmas and the wonderful spirit it brings!!

Thats right there is too much talent in one room

First off thank you Grandma and pa Bremner for my afternoon of Fun with Martin. Today in the mail Martin and I received a Gingerbread Train kit and boy Martin couldn't wait to open it and start decorating and that is what we did. I personally think Martin had more fun eating the frosting, sprinkles and peppermint than any other part of the whole day.
After lots and lots of frosting, candy, sprinkle and a green counter top...We now have a one of a kind Wimmer Design CHRISTMAS TRAIN.

Oh and I would like to add that Roxie is sick and I put the train together holding her. I will also post more pictures when I find my card reader :)

Do you think they like being Grandparents? I think so!!

I might start shopping at Yard Sales

I was driving home today and I took a quick glance at a yard sale to see if they had kids toys and I saw these shoes. I couldn't help myself they were so cutie and she girl sold them to me for 4 dollars. I have no idea if it was a deal or not but I LOVE THE SHOES!! The only problem is there are 1\2 size to big but I will figure out a away to fix it because I love these shoes.

She starting to find step....

Roxie enjoys crawling around the house because she can get from point A to point B VERY FAST. I was at Grandma Wimmers home and noticed Roxie just standing in the middle of the Room and decided to see if she would try and walk. She took up to three steps before she decided she was done!! I was so excited but than realized that she is growing up way to fast and I'm going to miss my little baby.

On Sunday at Grandma Wimmers home Doug and I set Roxie in the family room and we went into the kitchen. When I noticed she didn't follow us I went to see what she was doing. Roxie was standing in the middle of the room holding the Guitar Hero Microphone and she seemed like she was trying to sing or at lest she was making noises that sounded like singing. It was so cutie but the second we got the video camera out she stopped doing it.

Last but not least last night we were having Family Home evening and Roxie decided she didn't like being on the floor so she used her dad's leg and climbed onto the coffee table to get a better view of things. She climbs up on everything and I swear one day I will find her on top of the refrigerator.

Roxie makes sure to keep me on my toes!!
