Petty Little Princess

Dad and I have decided we can't fight Roxie's love for Pink and pretty dresses anymore. So her sweet dad bought her the princess dress from the movie Tangled. Aunt Kristi Wimmer bought her the Princess tea pot with plate, cups, spoons and more little things. Grandma Bremner bought her a cutie dress, Grandma Wimmer bought her pink shoes and books. I bought her cowboy boots, a dress and big girl underwear in hopes to encourage potty training.
My beautiful little girl is growing up and I hope she stays my little girl for as long as possible.

Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express. ~Joseph Addison

Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.

Roxie (2) and Martin (4 1\2)

Irish Saying
A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life.

"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."

Princess Roxie Turns 2

Their innocence and endearing acts probably left you wondering what kind of woman will your girl grow up to be someday. Would she be pretty? Would she be happy? Would she find a good man?

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.

We trully cut back this year.

Martins Gift from Grandpa Wimmer (D.J MDW)

Martin loved opening his sheets for his soon to be New bed

Roxie's New Friend Puppy Violet. Violet even says her name and favorite color.

Santa brought Roxie a Princess Rocking Chair and Dora the Explore Sun Glasses

I think Doug and I were more excited for Christmas morning than the kids were. Due to Zoey's new sleep schedule I have been up every morning since she came home from the hospital at 4am. So when I woke up at 4am expecting to nurse Zoey to my surprise she was still sleeping and I was wide awake. So around 6:30am Doug and I decided to wake the kids up to open presents. (WE LEARNED NEVER TO DO THAT AGAIN.)
Roxie was so funny because when she saw the pink chair from Santa she put her hands over her mouth and had a HUGE smile from ear to ear.
Martin opened each present very carefully and made sure after each present to put the paper in the trash. (WHY can't he keep his room clean.) He was so excited to open his blanket and sheets for his new bed. (arriving after the 1st of the year.) Santa brought Martin everything he asked for; New shoes, Video Game and a remote control car. We went up to Roxies room and told the kids that late at night Santa was making tons of noise outside and we opened the window and there was a trampoline outside. They were so excited and Martin hasn't wanted to stop jumping on it.
Santa brought me a new bathroom light and vent and since Santa saw my mile long list of books I was requesting for Christmas he decided to give me a Amazon Kindle. Its crazy there are so many free books or books under1 10$.
Santa also bought Doug xbox 360 kinect and Martin, Doug and I all received games.
Mom and Dad Bremner gave us a beautiful book about Navuoo and it has so many beautiful pictures.
After present were opened we rushed over to Grandparents Wimmers to make breakfast and enjoy out Christmas with the rest of the Wimmer family. Roxie and Martin enjoyed all the attention they were getting as well as the gifts from Grandparents, Aunt Kristi Wimmer, her boyfriend Jeremy and uncle Todd.
We spend the rest of the afternoon playing the xbox 360 kinect dance game and napped.
Now its time to clean up, organize, find room for the the new toys, and start on getting ready for Roxie's birthday. Thank heavens I decided on a family birthday again this year.

When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas time. Why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs?

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

The Christmas Cow

Yesterday was Martin's Preschool Christmas Program and the teacher Rita Lyons mentioned that every child picked there roll and was surprised at some of there choices and other fit perfectly into their rolls. As the kids came out first were the Angles and looking at the kids I noticed Martin wasn't in that group. Next came the animal and to my surprise Martin was the Christmas cow dressed in the cow costume with the mask over his face. Next came the queens, the wise men and Martin's friend Nathaniel was a wise man and than came Mary, Joseph and the doll baby Jesus.
They sang and each read lines and Martin did really well. Though out the program he would pull the mask over his face and than push it up and down. He also enjoyed watching himself on the TV screen (For the parents.) During the programs the kids each made a gift for their parents. In ture Martin fashion he was unable to find his gift but with help of a "Pretty Girl" he found mom's but not dad's. He wasn't upset he sweetly gave me my gift and went back to his spot to finish the program. (Just got a call from Rita and they found Martin's gift for his dad. One of the girls had moved it trying to help out. Rita said she has A LOTS of helps. :))
At the very end of the program Santa came and asked each of the kids what they would like for Christmas. I was holding my breathe because you never know what Martin is going to say. The last time he ask Santa for a remote control car, video game and new shoes. I was really hoping he wasn't going to ask for new shoes. Again in true Martin fashion he asked for a remote control car and than Santa gave each of the kids a gift. (Book with stuff toy)
I was so very proud of Martin and how well behaved and how clearly he said his line. I think his costume was a bit of a distraction for him but none the less he was so cutie and I was very proud of him.

I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. ~Charles Dickens

Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time. ~Laura Ingalls Wilder

Opps Roxie found her Christmas Present Early

Grandma Bremenr left Roxie's Christmas\Birthday present in the guest room hanging in the closet and the other day Roxie opened the closet and saw a "Beautiful Pink." She wouldn't let it go so finally I took it down for Church on Sunday. (Guest room has all the gifts hidden and I didn't want Roxie going in every day looking at the dress and possibly opening the Christmas presents.) Oh Go see Tangled if you get a chance it was such a cutie and fun Disney movie.
Roxie loved her Dress and so did everyone at church!!
Thank you Grandma Bremner!!

Little Sleep for Mom

After 7 weeks of thinking I know everything about getting a baby to sleep at night I decided Sunday to ask for help from the moms in my ward. Everyone had wonderful advice and several books to recommended. One friend in the ward said her sister has a miracle blanket and said she would use it with her 5 kids and it worked every time they would sleep at lest 4 hours though the night because it was a swaddle wrap where no matter how hard they tired they couldn't get their hands out. She said she would loan me her sisters for a week and if I loved it than I could buy at Buy Buy Baby. Zoey isn't fussy she just wants to sleep next to a warm body. I wouldn't mind if she didn't like to snuggle in my arm pit and If I wasn't so scared I would roll on her. So tonight will be the first time using the blanket and I'm hoping she sleeps about three hours is my goal but I know she can sleep longer because she has slept 4 -5 hours during the day. The good thing is Zoey is a very happy baby and since her ear has been healing she doesn't scream at night. She has also been flashing her beautiful smile at everyone and during Sunday School class Erin in my classes was holding Zoey and she kept flashing her big smiles. Now if Zoey would only do that at her dad and I a bit more often.
With that being said tonight we will be getting our real Christmas tree for FHE, Wednesday is Martin's Preschool Christmas Program, Thursday the kids and I will be taking treats to my Visiting Teaching ladies in my latest creation. I can't show you and pictures because it thay are a Christmas present for someone on the Wimmer side.
I will keep you updated if the wrap works.
