Roxie vs. The Ear Infection

(Current Ear Infection and instead of wanting to cuddle she wants to read book.)

(This Picture is from Roxie's last Ear Infection)

Roxie has been fighting a cold for over two weeks but recently it has turned into a nasty cough and she hasn't been sleeping or eating and she is AWESOME at both. So I took her into the doctors and at first I though wow its nothing just a nasty cold but they checked her left ear and there it was the EAR INFECTION. About 2 months ago we went into the doctors with a nasty cold and she had an ear infection in the same ear. She doesn't seem to run temperature when she has an ear infection the only sign I ever get is she pulls her hair out. Hopefully she can get over this nasty cold and ear infection and go back to being her fun, happy smiling Roxie.

Poop...Or should I say NO POOP!!

Ok so I need some advice because I do not know what else I can do...
Martin refuses to go poop in the potty. Now its because he says it hurts too much so to fix that problem we have done the following..

1. Increased his fiber there is only so much Mini Wheat and Raisin Bran a kid can eat.
2. We have started giving him Miralax once if not twice a day
3. I make him sit of the potty for at lest 20 mins in HOPE he will poop.

So what happens EVERY SINGLE DAY ALL DAY LONG is Martin runs around the house screaming that "the poop is coming out and he will not let the poop come out and there is nothing I can do about it." He is a CONTROL NUT

He used to poop just fine and thing some day something changed and I have no idea what it was but what I do know is I'm tired and I need some ideas! Otherwise I'm taking him to the doctors and having her talk to him about pooping.

Martin Request

Roxie moves so fast it is almost impossible to catch her standing still.

Yesterday I had Roxie sitting on a chair and Martin decided it was time for a photo shoot.

Martin: can you get your Camera and take some pictures of Roxie and I.
I was so shocked I grab my camera and started to take pictures but Roxie was done after the first few and decided the fast way off the chair was falling. Good news she didn't smack her head again but she was very upset because she broke her cracker.

Roxie cannot seem to keep her hands out of the trash and the recycle. She is always pulling sometimes out to play with it. Saturday it was the Milk Jug and the day before it was soda cans.

I have been going a little crazy taking pictures of the kids so pleases forgive me for all the photos.

Martin being Martin.

Roxie walking

It took forever to get a video of Roxie walking and since she would crawl or stand and stair at me every time to look at the big Camera. I pulled out the phone and took a Video. So enjoy...Now that I figured out how to do Video's again there will be alot more of them.

I thought I would test my Iphone video.. This is a video application I had to download so it isn't as nice and the video on Doug's Phone.

Las Vegas and the MAGIC SHOW

I asked Doug if I could go with him to the MAGIC show (Men and Women Clothing expo.)
I was so excited to go because I thought three day without the kids would be heaven and I always wanted to stay at the Luxor. Well the Luxor was the WORST HOTEL I have ever stayed in. (ABOUT EQUAL WITH THE PLACE IN CALIFORNIA MOM AND I STAYED AT.)
The beds were very small queens and one of the beds you could feel the spring coming though the bed. Than the bathroom light would work when it wanted to, when the toilet would flush it would let out a long high pitch whistle, cold shower and the best part was we could hear everyone else flushing their toilet and taking showers.
The best part about that hotel was that we only were there at night most of the time because Doug was in meeting and I was walking the trade show and LOVING EVERY SECOND OF IT. I also have a new respect for Doug and all he does in Vegas. It isn't a vacation he works and works hard. Doug would be in 5 hour meeting and than some times have to walk the Trade floors. I went to Women MAGIC and PLATFORM (SHOES) the first day and LOVED EVERY SECOND!! I love shoes and I would have bought some if they didn't require a 1000$ first time purchase. The clothes were amazing and I can't wait for the new fall collections to come out because there are some amazing coats. I wish I would wear some of the jackets because they were beautiful.

At one point I was so excited about getting to the the women show I skipped up the stairs to the monorail and I pulled muscle in my leg and spent most of the day walking very slowly but enjoying everything until later that night when I was really hurting and spent the rest of the night in bed not moving.

One night Doug and I went to the Titanic Exhibit and it was AMAZING and I recommend when it comes to a town near you to go. It had the haul of the ship and a large piece of Ice to give you an idea of how cold it was. They also recreated the Grand Staircase and the Promenade deck. At first I thought they should have left the ship and everything in the ocean because it is a burial ground but they showed how much the ship was deteriorating and that in a few years their would be nothing left. I think the display is a great honor to those who died.
I cried when I saw the haul of the ship because all the years I read books and studied the Titanic I never thought I would be able to stand next to a piece of the ship. They gave us a card with a Female name and a Male Name. They lady was a mom with a two year old girl in third class and she didn't make it but her bother survived.

Our last day in Vegas I went to Doug's meeting and there were some good laughs but like I said before I have a HUGE respect for what Doug does in Vegas and no wonder he is so tired when he comes back.

I don't think I will be going back to Magic in August (VEGAS IN AUGUST CRAZY HOT) but I would like to go back Next February. I enjoyed the MAGIC show, the people watching and meeting everyone Doug works with. I HOPE never to stay at the Luxor again. OH I also forgot the Elevators one word SCARY!! I would have rather taken the stairs 8 floors up.

Many Faces of Roxie

Do not worry the bags have tons of holes and she loves putting things on her head...Martin on the other hand can't even handle his shirt being pulled over his head without freaking out...

A daughter is a bundle of firsts that excite and delight,
giggles that come from deep inside and are always contagious.

Many Face of Martin

There are days when he spend more time in time out than he does playing and then there are day where I could hug, kiss and play with him all day and never get tired.

Potty Training and Lights

Martin has decided that peeing and pooping in the potty is tons of fun!! We have had some troubles with pooping in the potty because it hurts when Martin poops because they are HUGE!! OH and Martin likes to inform everyone of his HUGE POOPS...Yes I know its Gross but after three years of diapers I'm so excited when he poops in the potty. WE decided to put pulls up on at night because he is hit or miss at night. We have been waking him up right before we go to bed and putting him on the potty and again it is hit or miss if he pee in the potty. He has also been telling everyone he pooped in the McDonald's Bathroom in the BIG potty. I was really proud of him because I was a little worried he would be scared of the big potty.

Doug and I have been looking at buying some new lights for the front door entry way and the dinning table. The lights that we had work well and they were nice but a little dated so Doug went out and found these two because Chandeliers. The Pictures do not do them justice. I LOVE OUR HOUSE!! Now I just need to find time and the right paint for Martin, Roxie and My bed Rooms. Also we are thinking of staining the kitchen cupboards a dark wood color. That I will need help with because I will need to strip off the current gloss and color and it will be a really big project. Good thing the cupboards are already a light wood so hopefully it won't be to hard.

Did I mention I LOVE MY HOUSE and I LOVE BEING A HOME OWNER!!!

Oh and the little Princess is walking or should I say RUNNING all over the house.

“A child can go only so far in life without potty training. It is not mere coincidence that six of the last seven presidents were potty trained, not to mention nearly half of the nation's state legislators.”
