A Wonderful Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday!! Starting last week about Wednesday Martin decided he didn't want to wear pull up any more and started to wear "WHITEY TIGHTIE." He has been very successful with the potty and I am so proud of him. Than Sunday Martin again did something wonderful with the help of his dad he said the opening prayer in primary.
We had a family birthday on Sunday with Dad Wimmers AMAZING DELICIOUS STEAKS!! (JEALOUS) It was perfectly cooked to the way I like it Still Mooing! For desert we had Cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory and it was so yummy. There were some wonderful gifts including the new AWESOME Sonic Tooth brush, bookcases, Star Trek 2,3 and 4 (THE ONLY ONES TO HAVE) and many other wonderful gifts!!!
Than to celebrate the official day I was born (THANK YOU MOM) Tonight Grandma Wimmer said she would watch the babies while Doug and I went out to celebrate my birthday. Doug is always full of surprises the second I think I know what he is going to do he surprises me. We went out to Houston for Dinner and I had some fall off the bone ribs that were wonderful and Doug had a delicious steak. Grandma sent a test message looking for the car keys and than a second on informing us that Martin made a HUGE Poo! Good thing we were already done with dinner and decided to pass on the Molten Chocolate Brownie. It was a wonderful time and we came home and I found the Most beautiful roses I have ever seen. Doug had bought me these beautiful Red, yellow and my favorite pink roses I have ever seen. I'm so very blessed to have such an amazing husband in my life he is always so very thoughtful and treats me with so much love. I am so very blessed to have him in my life.

So can anyone tell which one is me and which one is Eric? Not too hard Eric's kids look just like him and well mine do not.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and Mom and Dad I went and bought Inkheart to read as my birthday present Thank you.

The Elusive Martin

I have finally been able to catch Martin as he races by the camera to get a few shots. Recently Martin hasn't wanted his picture take and he tells me to take pictures of Roxie. Like any good mom I happily have taken tons of pictures of Roxie.
The other day Martin was going potty (THAT RIGHT HE DECIDED TO GO POTTY!!)and all over a sudden I hear " Mom get the camera and take a pictures of me." So I raced down stairs picked up the camera and I found him with his underwear on his head. He is still wearing pull ups but Roxie has found Martin big boy underwear fun to look at. I took some pictures of him on the potty and made a BIG DEAL about going potty. That same night he went poop in the potty for the first time and we made a REALLY REALLY BIG DEAL the next day he decided to poop in a diaper. BABY STEPS.

Martin told me a joke the other day.
Martin: How do you hold a Birds nose?
Me: I don't know How?
Martin: You hold it. LAUGHING UNCONTROLLABLY

Martin: What do you do when a fish smells
Me: What?
Martin: HOLD YOUR NOSE AGAIN.... LAUGHING UNCONTROLLABLY.

He came up with the jokes all by himself.
He also informed me I have ugly hands when looking though a glass.

Revolt in Primary

I should have known this pictures tells the whole story.
So today started off pretty rough at church It was one where I wanted to go back to bed and hide. Martin cried having to go into primary again but after 30 mins he settled down enough that Doug was able to leave and join me in class. Now from what I heard....The sunbeams were leaving class and took off (RUNNING)Martin leading the rest of the sunbeams down the hallway past the primary and either off to nursery out the doors. So the Positive out of this is he is a natural born leader the negative the primary wants Doug or I in primary next week. (ITS MY TURN TO TAKE MARTIN NEXT WEEK)
Proud mom yes for being a leader and no because he didn't listen to his teachers.

Fun Pictures of Roxie

Martin has decided he doesn't like his picture being taken so everyone will have to deal with seeing Roxie in her many different forms.

Roxie and the sippy cup

I guess when your hand are fully its easier just to pick up the cup with your teeth.

Roxie has been walking all over the place but the second we pull the video camera out she falls to the floor and starts crawling. She is also starting to say All Done when she is done eating. The other day Roxie walked to me saying mama and I forgot how very special that name is.

The bug has struck

The flu has stuck and cookies were tossed and now I am trying to figure out how to clean a lazy boy chair. I was so hoping we had missed it but Grandpa Wimmer has the same bug Martin has...which means it is only a matter of time before Roxie gets it.
I never thought about how much love my mom had for us kids when we were sick until I was cleaning, hold and putting to bed my own sick little guy. Thanks mom for everything you did for us kids specially when we were sick!!

Grandma's Dress

What more can I say Than THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL DRESS...Mom it brought back the best memories when I used to wear my mini world dresses. I loved those dress!!
P.S. She can walk but she seems to like crawling better and even a dress doesn't slow her down.
Grandma always made you feel she had been waiting to see just you all day and now the day was complete.

NEW YEARS!!!

Night January 30th: Doug and I were leaving grandma Wimmers after having a really fun visit with Aunt Julie (Grandma Wimmers sister). We were packing the kids in the car when I turn to Doug and ask " What are we going to do for New Years? So we can make plans with Grandma and pa." Doug said " We need to get home to pack our bags." What do you think about going to Disneyland for new years?" I'm sure you can all guess the answer but Jumping up and down and hugging were involved!!
Grandma and pa Wimmer watched Martin and Roxie while Doug and I left for Disneyland on the 31st and came home late night on the 1st of January.

We arrived at Disneyland at 6:30 pm after checking into the hotel we decided to face the sea of people at Disneyland. To our surprise it wasn't nearly as crowded as it has been year past. We rode several different rides and sat down to watch Fantasmic which is a water, music and fireworks show over the Rivers of America. After each show they have snow fall from different areas in the park as well. It was amazing show to watch. Than Doug and I stayed at the New Orleans Square and counted down to New Years and watched the AMAZING firework show. They had shooting stars and smile faces and Mickey Mouse ear for fireworks. As always Disney knows how to ring in the new year! We were able to ride most if not all the rides we wanted to with very little wait. The longest wait was Space Mountain and it was 50 mins.
The Next morning we went back to Disney and headed into California Adventure where they have a new ride called Toy Story Mania Toys its a ride\game which was totally fun!!! After Disneyland we left for Little Tokyo in L.A. for our supplies of Melon Bread, White peach candy and Aquarius drinks. We really didn't stay to long we eat lunch at this Amazing Curry place and left L.A. around 4pm. We got home around midnight on the 1st. It was a short trip but it was totally worth it. The kids enjoyed grandma and pa Wimmer and we enjoyed our traditions of New Years at Disneyland. I'm sure most of you think we were crazy but it is the best kind of crazy!! I hope one day to bring Martin and Roxie to New Years at Disneyland but not until they are potty trained and well... old enough to enjoy Disneyland.
I HAVE THE BEST HUSBAND!!!

Tall and Lean

Roxie had her 1 year check up and as always it was successful expect Roxie's Iron is a little low. Now that she can have eggs I'm not to worried at her 15 month appointment with her Iron still being low.
Stats.
Height:30 1\4 inches (95%)
Weight:19.10lbs (25%)
Head:18 1\2 (95%)
So I have a tall, big headed and lean little one year old who LOVES TO EAT!!
