Martin's Wall

Sorry for the quality of the pictures they were taken with my phone.
Last Sunday we were at Grandma Wimmers and Martin was building a wall against Roxie. Its like the Great Wall of China Beautifully done but it isn't going to keep anyone out. Martin was very proud of himself and so was I.

“It is not that the child lives in a world of imagination, but that the child within us survives and starts into life only at rare moments of recollection, which makes us believe, and it is not true, that, as children, we were imaginative?”
Cesare Pavese

“The Polar Express is about faith, and the power of imagination to sustain faith. It's also about the desire to reside in a world where magic can happen, the kind of world we all believed in as children, but one that disappears as we grow older.”
Chris Van Allsburg

Pregnancy: Why is it call Morning sickness??

I have been so sick that I haven't had a lot of time to take pictures or really blog about anything.. Quick update...

Roxie has discovered a few more words: Outside, potty, and she has been trying to say pee.

Martin: Is doing great at going potty most of the time he doesn't even need my help. He also has been helping dad crack eggs for breakfast in the morning.

Doug: Has been the biggest and greatest help with me being sick I really haven't been able to do much in the way of cleaning and cooking. So about twice a week Doug will bring dinner home, and he puts Roxie and Martin to bed at night and picks up the house. I owe him big time.

Me: Well I get excited when I can keep meals down and get more than 2 hours of sleep. I have no energy and I have been trying to see the positive of this pregnancy but at the moment the only thing I see more than Doug, Martin and Roxie is the toilet.
According to the Doctor the positive is I have gained 5lbs with being so sick. He was very excited...I on the other hand am not so happy I have never gained this much weight this fast but than again I haven't been this sick either and the only time I feel good is if I eat every 2 hours. THAT'S RIGHT EVER 2 HOURS!
The doctor keeps telling me I should feel better and have my energy back in the next few weeks.

POSITIVE: MARTIN has been sweet as chocolate when it comes to nap time. He lets we sleep while he watches a little Disney or reads books and than wakes me up when Roxie wakes up from her nap.

Bestest Big Brother

Martin has been calling himself as the "Bestest big Brother." Since I have been sick Martin has been playing with Roxie more and more and he has even started to share some of his toys with her. Someday I feel like I live in the bathroom and since I do not need a party while I am taking care of business Martin has taken upon himself to "trick her" into playing with him.

Martin has been so awesome these last three weeks with Roxie being sick and now me being sick I have really started to notice he went from being my baby to being a "Big Boy." He also likes to point out he can stand up using the big potty and he likes using the big potty because he is a big boy.

So my baby is turning into a big boy and I never though I would say this but I truly miss my baby Martin but I'm also very excited to see what the future holds for my big boy.

Good Bye Focus (Well SOON!)

MINE HAS BETTER RIMS

So Doug and I have been recently looking into buying a car since the Focus is starting to have issues and baby girl is almost 10 years old and almost 100,000 miles. I have some great memories with that car and I will be sad the day we sell her because not only was it my first car but I bought it on my own with no help and I paid it off to. I have never once regretted buying her and I wish she could be apart of this growing family but it only has five seats and you can't fit 3 car seats in the Focus. So Doug and I went car shopping and found the SUV that will be part of this growing family and it will hold 3 car seats just fine. We found one with a great price and had all the features we wanted but for some reason it didn't feel right at the moment but I know that brand of SUV is what feels right when I drive it and the turn signal is QUIET!!! Just ask my dad and Doug about the turn signal issue and cars.
Now I hope by now you have figure it out when I have mentioned several times 3 cars seats but if you haven't Yes Doug and I are expecting baby number 3 October 30th.
We had a ultrasound on Friday and we were able to hear and see the baby heart beat and I have never heard the heartbeat so early before and that was exciting.

Hives? Chickpox? For Sure Ear Infection

This afternoon I started to notice these red rash thing on Roxie arm pits and inside her leg and I thought its nothing it will go away. Around 6pm when Doug came home it had spread all over her body and some spots on her face and started to look like Chickenpox. Roxie has been fussy since Sunday and just not eating or sleep every well and the reason we thought Chickenpox is because she licks EVERYTHING...the grocery cart the chairs at church name it she has licked it. No don't get me wrong I put a stop to the licking the second it starts but I do not have eyes on the back of my head. Although Martin seems to think so.

So off to Urgent Care we went and found out that Roxie has an Ear Infection in her Right Ear this time (MOM YOU WERE RIGHT) and she broke out in hives from the Medication they gave her before Amoxicillin and she is allergic to it.
So HOPEFULLY in a few days Roxie will be back to her cutie fun self!!

She Loves to Read....

The second Roxie finds a book laying around the house she picks it up and walks backward into my lap so I will read her the book. Roxie loves to read books and sometimes I almost hide certain books away because I have read them so much. Her favorite book is " Dance with me Daddy." She only likes it when her Dad reads the book to her. My little Princes loves her books and if you come and visit be prepared to be reading lots of the same books OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!

Sleep What Happeded to it?

Roxie one day old.

What happened to the day when both Martin and Roxie would sleep all night until 7am? Last night Martin woke up at midnight upset because I didn't wake him up to go potty in the toilet and he wet his pull up. So I changed his pull up (which he only wear at night) and put him back into bed, about 45 mins later just as I was finally falling back asleep he started to cry about his water sippy cup and wondering if he could have some. So I went down stairs to clean out his sippy cup and refill it with water. Thank Heavens he went back to sleep pretty easy because around 1am Roxie woke up screaming and I was so tired I decided to let her fuss it out for at lest 10 mins. She went back to sleep.
Around 2 am both Martin and Roxie were sleep talking and I couldn't go back to sleep. Apparently Martin sippy cup was hitting someone and he told it to stop because he didn't want to be in trouble. Roxie was just screaming and than laughing I think I'm not quite sure because I didn't want to wake her so I stayed out of her room. Now I finally fell asleep around 3:30 am and Roxie woke up again at 5:30am screaming but she went back to sleep with in 5 mins. At 6:30 am Martin woke up for the morning and I decided I was too tired so I dragged him into bed with me until his sister woke up at 7:30am.

AGAIN WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THE LACK OF SLEEP BEFORE HAVING CHILDREN?? I would have slept in more and enjoyed those lazy Saturdays and Sunday Mornings.

We have had SUCCESS!!

It may sound funny to some but the sound of Martin saying "I need to Poop Mom." Is the most wonderful sound to my ears.

Roxie is starting to feel better but the only person she wants is her dad. It is so sweet how she curls into her dad and just lays on him...I only wish she would do that with me.

Sunday was Stake conference and we really wanted to go but with Roxie still on the mends and Martin developing the same cold and well neither parent had any sleep we decided to have a family home day.
