Update on Baby Zoey

Yesterday I look Zoey to the doctors in hopes it would be the last visit until the end of the month. Just like the last few days they check her vitals and she is already 10lbs. As the doctor was checking her left ear again she decided that the ear drum had ruptured because she couldn't see it. Dr. Winterland said she has never seen an infant who had there ear drum burst at 5 weeks old and that was why she had us come in because such an infection could cause hearing loss. (Thanks don't scare the mom or anything) the nurse came in and gave Zoey the last two shots of antibiotics and sent us on our way. Zoeys' ear is still infected and they can't do anymore because of her age. So I am giving her ear drops until her next appointment at the end of the month. The last several night have been really hard because Zoey doesn't sleep in her swing or the crib and she just wants to he held and nursing all night long. Which makes for really long days because I can't sleep holding her. On top of everything she has a nasty cold that doesn't want to clear up causing her to spit up more often and in turn trouble breathing though her nose.
Now with Zoey hopefully feeling better I am going to break out or few Christmas decorations and start to get our house in the Christmas spirit.
I pray this is our last visit to the doctors until Zoey's 2 month appointment and Roxie's 2 year check up at the end of December.

If you treat a sick child like an adult and a sick adult like a child, everything usually works out pretty well.
