First Day Of School 2nd Grade

Martin has been so excited for school to start and today is the day!
Last year he asked for me to wait until the bell rang before I left today he drop his backpack, found a friend and took off without so much as a goodbye.
Roxie and Zoey sat by the door with sad faces as I took Martin to school wanting him to come back and play.  Roxie even announced "I don't know what to do with myself if Martin isn't around hes my best friend."  I have told her yet that Madeline her best friend started kindergarten this year and we won't have anymore morning play dates.
Roxie starts Preschool in an month and I am counting down the days with excitement.
A quick mention of my cutie pie Hudson is getting so big and has started to make sounds that sound like laughter.  He loves it when people talk to him and he will talk right back.  I

Quite 4th of July

With a new baby and temperatures above 112 we decided to have a quite 4th of July at the Wimmers with swimming, Nations Firework show on PBS and our own little firework show.  I felt bad for Qatar because we didn't do the normal 4th of July activities but he seem to roll with the punches.

Spent 2 1\2 huors in the pool cooling off before Grandpa Wimmers Hamburgers and Dad and the fireworks.

First Smile

He had a big full mouth grin but the camera was too slow to capture it.  He has been smiling for several days at everyone and I must say it was the week for it too.  Everyone seemed to need his smiles!
Church on Sunday someone asked to hold him and when I passed him off they seemed so shock. 
Hudson gets loved so much at church.  I can barely make it though the door some days without someone wanting to hold him, snuggle with him and pinch his cheeks.  He knows he is truly loved not just by out family but by the ward family.

What do sleeping babies dream of?

What do sleeping babies dream of? This morning I had a few minutes and I watched Hudson sleep. He would smile, frown, cry and than lay completely still but his eyes never stopped moving.  SO what do babies dream of that causes them so many different expression?  I wish I could have taken pictures of the different expression but he moved to fast and the kids were heading upstairs yelling my name.
I enjoy watching Hudson sleep and I guess that would explain the many different pictures of him sleeping.  I swear doesn't sleep his days away but he moves so much most of his awake pictures are a blur.
Hudson finally smiled at me while he was hanging his head over the booby pillow. I guess I must have looked really funny because he never stooped smiling until Zoey climbed on the couch wanting to kiss him.
The summer is starting to get hot and starting Thursday it will be 117 for at lest four days.  If you are wondering this isn't a record heat that would be the year Martin was born and in 1929 when it was 118 for over a week straight.  I'm grateful for pools!!

Final Stop!

Doug took two days off of work for Martin's birthday because Martin wanted to go camping but at the last second he decided he wanted to go to the Sea Life at AZ mills mall.  It was really fun to see all the different sea creatures and the kids loved every second!  Than we went swimming, cake and present.  At the end of Martin's birthday he received two Star Wars Lego sets, a book about star wars, Space Kit, clothes and a 3-D puzzle of the Death Star.
The next day Martin said he wanted to stay home and build his legos but Doug and I wanted to go somewhere a little cooler so we took, Martin, Roxie, Hudson, and Qatar headed to Payson to Tonto Natural Bridge.  Martin and Roxie needed some help getting over some of the larger rocks and crossing the river but for the most part it was a fun hike.  It was 90 in Payson and down in the Arch it was 75.

It was nice to get away from the high heat if only for a few hours.  Doug gave me a Moby Wrap as a baby gift for Hudson and for the first time I didn't have any back pains from carrying a baby on my front.  The wrap is amazing and I wish I had one with Martin, Roxie and Zoey.  I plan to do more hiking with Hudson!
 Martin had a wonderful birthday and thank you to everyone who called Martin enjoyed reading the message on my phone and listening to the phone messages.

Hudson had his one month check up and he is perfect as always.
Wight 9lbs 14ozs       Birth Weight was 7lbs 10oz
Height 22 inches        Birth Height was 19 inches.
That explains why his little guy is always sleeping, eat and pooping.  However he does have acid reflux and can spit out of his car seat.
Qatar arrived late last night for work with Doug for the summer.  So far we drove him around Chandler and Mesa to see how lost we can make him.  I do feel sorry for Qatar because I spend most the summer in the house or at Grandparents Wimmer pool.  We are pretty boring because the kids hate climbing in and out of a hot car.  However I what my grandparents Connett did to me the summer I spent in Cal when I was 17.  I contacted the Young Men president and found out when the activities will be.
