Cheapest Teething Toy in the World

The other night we were having dinner at Grandpa and ma Wimmers house and Roxie was screaming in her usually high pitch way and everyone's ears had enough. So Dad fed her a pickle which just like Martin she had no reaction so than Grandma suggested we give her celery. I thought if pickles didn't give us a reaction why would celery. I was wrong!! Roxie was so overjoyed with celery that when it came time for us to leave we had to rip it out of her hands. I'm guessing the coolness and hardness of the celery on Roxie's sore teeth was the reason for her new found Love of Celery. So whenever she starts her high pitch scream I just pull out the celery and I get some peace and quiet!!

Dentist

Yesterday was Martin's first dentist appointment. We had talked about it for a couple of days and Martin seemed to be excited so naturally I assumed he would scream and cry the entire time at the dentist.
We arrived at 8am and a few min later Martin and his dad went with the Dental Hygienist and Roxie and I stayed in the waiting room. From what his daddy told me Martin was nervous at first but when the dentist came in and started to count Martin's teeth and talk to him about brushing his teeth Martin very good and didn't once bite the dentist. He told the Dentist he was 3 years old and showed the dentist how he could count. Martin's favorite part of the dentist off was the chair that went up really high and went down so low he could climb in.
I have to admit I was so proud of Martin no they didn't clean his teeth yet but he still went to the dentist and never once made a fuss. He is starting to grow up and I'm not sure I ready for that

I found some creative ideas from Family Fun Magazine that a friend gave to me as a birthday present. I found this cutie reading corner idea that I decided to make and hang in Roxie's room. My first of many projects!!!

Today was not my favorite of all days but Martin seem to turn it around.

AS I was driving to Grandma Wimmers home Martin just kept asking me the dread WHY questions. After the 20 mins drive due to traffic we pull in to Grandma's house and Martin looks at me and starts to sing.

"I LOVE YOU MOMMY OH YEA DO. I LOVE YOU MOMMY AND I BE TRUE WHEN YOU ARE NEAR ME I'M BLUE Mommy I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU!!!" I went from wanting to pull my hair out to kissing and hugging Martin over and over!!

I'm the luckiest mom around :)

I couldn't help myself

Do you know what happened 159 years ago this fall... back in 1850?

California became a state.
The people had no electricity.
The state had no money.
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gunfights in the streets.
So basically nothing has changed except the women had real boobs and the men didn't hold hands

This morning Martin was playing with Roxie and started to sing to her...

" I love you Roxie yes do. I love you Roxie if your not near me blue. Roxie i love you"
Its the song "We love you Conrad" from Bye Bye Birdie he changes Conrad to Roxie.

Thank you for teaching him that song Amanda. Its so sweet to see him sing the song to Roxie.
