8 Years, 6 cars, 3 kids and 1 house. No Pets Yet
Yes I am a little behind with my blog but that is the life of a mom of three. I'm happy if i get a shower every other day.
For our 8th wedding anniversary Doug ask me to pick North or West. I picked North for a weekend away in the cooler climates. We headed up to Sedona which is south of Flagstaff and is one of the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Its know for its red rocks, Oak Creek river and canyon, beautiful hiking and oh I almost forgot the Vortexes.
Since Zoey is still nursing we took her along and learned a very important lesson. Zoey is a home body and she loves sleeping at home, eating at home and most importantly she doesn't scream at home. The first night there she screamed almost all night. I think we slept maybe three hours. Zoey was in the processes of cutting three teeth. We stayed at Poco Diablo Resort (Zoey's nickname) in one of their Juzicas Suits. It was a really nice, quite resort and no one was hitting us up for a timeshare.
We went to Flagstaff Sunday and found it raining and hailing so we headed for The Riordan historic home tour near NAU campus. Two brothers married two sisters and they built the house together for their families. One lived in the East Wing and the other lived in the West Wing. It was a beautiful home and it was nice to get out of the rain. We headed back to Sedona and enjoyed a beautiful drive down the canyon making notes of other place and things we would like to see an do when it isn't raining.
We walked down the main city center\shopping area looking for a charm for my bracelet and found that Sedona has really changes for good and bad.
Monday we were going to go hiking around Cathedral Rock but apparently it was very popular place to hike on a Monday morning so we than headed to another hiking area but by the time we got there, changed Zoey's diaper, Nursed and got everything ready we needed to start heading home to pick Martin up from school.
It was a wonderful getaway even if we didn't get much sleep. Next year no babies and I hope to go camping in Sedona.
These last 8 years have been one big adventure. I married my best friend, had three beautiful diablo's, and one beautiful home I can't seem to every get clean. I am so very blessed even though some days I feel cursed I know I am blessed.
