Walle

Martins new favorite movie is Walle from Disney and he watches it ever single day. During Sacrament meeting I went to shake makes Martins hand and he looked at me and said Walle. I look and said no your name is Martin and shook his hand a again and Martin looked at me and said Walleee. I started to laugh because in the movie Walle. Walle introduces himself to the captain by shaking his hand and saying wallee.

Falling Down the Stairs

Today I was walking down the stairs with Roxie in my arms and I slipped and fell down the stairs. Martin can running to see what happened.

Martin: Mommy Mommy...What happened?
Me: I feel down the stairs and man am I hurting.
Martin: Is Roxie Ok?
Me: She is just a little scared but she is ok.
Martin: Good because I don't want Roxie to get hurt.
Me: What about mommy? You don't want mommy to get hurt.
Martin: Oh you can take care of you self. Roxie too little.

Martin came up to me a few minutes later and kissed my back and he hoped I was feeling better. I love 2 year Almost 3 year old outlook on things.

Martin and the Flu

Last week Martin came down with a really nasty flu and hasn't been feeling all that chatty, BUT Roxie on the other had has started to become extremely chatty. I swear she has been trying to say HI, hello and mom. Than again she is only 4 1\2 months old.

Martin and Roxie's Teeth

This morning at breakfast Dad and I were talking about the massive amount of drool coming out of Roxie mouth and mention she was teething. Martin seemed very confused and this is the conversation that happened next.
Martin: Why doesn't Roxie have teeth?
Dad: Because she is little and she need to grow them in.
Martin: Well lets go buy her some teeth.
Dad: We can't buy Roxie teeth they will slowly grow in.
Martin: We can't go and buy Roxie teeth they need to grow in.
dad: Yup

IT is so true Martin and Roxie are mine but yet some days they both do things that are so mysterious to me.

Doug and I had decided we hadn't been on a date in over a month and thought since there was a movie we both really wanted to see (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) we should go on a date.

I dropped the kids off at Grandma Wimmers house and this is what happened.
Me: Martin your dad and I are going on a date and you will stay and play with Grandma and Roxie tonight.
Martin: OK.....

So I thought Doug aka Daddy came to pick me up and Martin went running into this arms and this is what happened next.

Martin: Daddy you here!! YEA!!!
Dad: Your mommy and I are going to the movie and we will see you later tonight ok?
Martin: You can't leave me!! YOU HAVE TO STAY AND TAKE CARE OF ME!!! You have too!!

needles to say we left a very upset two year old crying at the door. BUT according to Grandma Wimmer it look him less than 2 mins and he was playing and eating his dinner.
