Best Layaed plans never happen

Mom, Roxie, Zoey and I planned to drive to see Grandma Connett for a few days this week.
We hadn't even left Gilbert AZ when Roxie threw up. At first I thought it might be car sickness because it was dark and I had woken her up at 5am. Than it happened again about an hour out of Chandler and I knew it was the stomach flu that was making rounds. We turned around and headed home. I spent all day Monday and Tuesday with a very sick little Roxie. It was so hard to see her sick and limp because normally she never stops moving.
Today Roxie is back to normal she is fighting with her brother and yelling when she doesn't get what she wants. I'm starting to think I liked it better when she was sick.
Zoey at the current moment only had one day of runny poops but never missed a step of being a little ham and Doug and I have been speared.
Here's hoping the rest of the holiday season will be less adventurousness than thanksgiving.

She's Walking Put up the gates and run for the Hills

Zoey is walking and yesterday at church she started to say Oh No and ah oh. Zoey was being noisy at church and I decided to try standing in the back by the door so I could hear the speaker and also take Zoey out if she got to noisy. I set Zoey down and to my surprise Zoey decided to show off to all the grandma's on the back row and she walking down the row and at one point tried to run to get away from me.
I can't believe how fast time and flown. I swear I just brought her home from the hospital and now she is walking.

Doug was going though some pictures of took of Zoey and he said "Zoey does look a lot like you in those pictures."

One of many converstations with Martin

Martin: "Mom why do you like Zoey more than Roxie and I?"
Mom: "Because she listens to me and Doesn't yell back."
Martin: "If I stop getting mad at you will you like me more?"
mom: "Martin I will love you even more because you are old enough to understand yelling at me is wrong."
Martin: "Sometimes I get really mad at you because you make me have responsibilities and I hate responsibilities. I will stop getting mad at you if you stop giving me responsibilities."
Mom: "Sorry my sweet boy you will have responsibilities until the day you die and that is life but I will always love you no matter what."
Martin: "Mom my brain never shuts down and I can't stop thinking of everything I need to do and all the fun I want to have and my responsibilities get in the way and that makes me angry."
Mom: "Martin the more you delay pulling the weeds because you yelled at me the more time will be added to pulling the weeds."
Martin: "Now I am angry with you." Goes off to pull weeds

3 mins later
Martin: "Mom pulling weeds is fun and I do not feel like I am being punished at all for yelling at you."
Mom: "Martin you still have 2 more minutes until you are done so enjoy every second of pulling those weeds."
Martin: "Fine I will." Goes off pulling weeds.
5 mins Later

Martin: "Mom my brain wont shut down and I can't stop thinking about all the fun I am missing out on."
Mom: "Well next time when I ask you to shut the screem door maybe you will not yell at me for reminding you to shut the door."
Martin: "Maybe" running a way with a grin forgetting to shut the screen door.
Mom: "ARRG"

Day 30 Animal

So I changed the last two days on my 30 days. I decided to make day 30 animal. Feeding the fish at the Japanese friendship garden reminded me a little of feeding my kids candy. Their mouths are always open.

Day 29: Rocks

For the last two days of my 30 day challenge I would change them. This is a pictures of Tonto Natural bridge State park where Doug and I take the kids once a year and go hiking.

Friday Grannie, Grandpea, Martin, Roxie, Zoey and I all went to Fountain Hills Arts and Crafts Festival they only have twice a year. In Heidi fashion I took the wrong turn\round about tour of Fountain Hills but once we arrived and everyone in the stroller and front pack we were off seeing some amazing jeweler, beautiful crafts and wonder paintings. We walked the festival from 11:30-3:00pm and grannie bought Roxie a really cute dress (Pictures to come).
Today Martin had a his first kindergarten birthday party and it was a girl who invited him. So it begins. After the party we headed to pick up Grannie and Grandpea and we went down town Mesa for Wild west days and the weekly craft fair. We walked up and down Main street enjoying looking at all the crafts and different foods.
It was a busy weekened and tons of fun but now I need to spend three days home cleaning the house.

A Morning with Doug

For Doug's birthday I took him out to the Phoenix Japanese Friendship Garden and than to a new Japanese restaurant Hana in Phoenix. I was hoping to take him shopping at the Tokyo Market but it was closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays so our day was cut a little short.
The kids gave him the new Xbox360 Batman game.

Gues who will forever be 36

Tomorrow Doug will forever be 36 years old and never age again. Happy Birthday to my best friend, a awesome dad and the best husband a person could ever ask for.
For Doug's Birthday Grannie and Grandpea are going to babysit the girls and I am talking Doug to the Phoenix Japanese Friendship Garden and than out to lunch at Hana's in Phoenix. I'm just praying he doesn't get sick like the girls and I.

Day 29 and Day 30

I haven't had the chance to finish my 30 days because I have come down with a nasty cold. I don't get it four years of health and now the first winter snap and I get sick with the two little ones. I hope to finish my 30 days soon.

1 Year Check-Up

Today I took Zoey in for her 1 year check up. Recently Zoey has been pulling on her ear and I couldn't decided if it was from teething or an ear infection. She wasn't running a temperature and she wasn't overly fussy so I decided to wait until today to get them check. Yup She has an ear infection but I feel very blessed because we have been ear infection free for 6 months.
Their is a new car seat law out and I am not very happy. Child has to be 20lbs and 2 years old to be in forward facing car seats. I guess the men that make the laws do not sit in car with screaming babies.

Day 25 Daily routine

The daily routine is fighting with the kids to eat breakfast. Mainly Martin since he has to leave for school in the morning. I have decided instead of getting upset because he isn't eating or is taking to long to eat I just set a timer. So when the timer beeps than breakfast is done and wasn't eaten going into a sandwich bag to be eaten the next morning. I know I am a mean mom.

Trunk or Treating at Grandma Wimmers ward.


Just a quick recap of our week long Halloween Celebration with more pictures to come.
Last night Martin, Roxie, Zoey and I went out three times trick or treating on our street and once to Grannie and Greandpea Bremners. It was fun to see them get so excited or really scared but Roxie was the bravest and ran up to every single door but one.
Each of the kids brought home about 1lbs of Candy each. At the end of the night Martin asked if he could give away candy at the door and we informed him we ran out. He ran to his bag of Candy and said " I can give away my candy." Which he did for one hour and he was so excited every time a kids came by.
