The Stomach Bug Strikes Again.
I remember hearing my sisters talk about when your first goes to school they bring home every type of bug around. I thought they were talking about walking, 4-8 legged things that are annoying not the Stomach flu, Flu, head cold, pink eye and something that always seems to lead to ear infections. This week is another around of something nasty the stomach flu first it hit Roxie and the poor little thing couldn't keep anything down for 12 hours and I knew she wasn't feeling well because she wanted to cuddle with me and only me. So I spent all night trying to get a frighten 2 year old to throw-up in the toilet and when that didn't work I tired for a bucket and she still refused but I won. I thought at first maybe it was food poisoning because my stomach hadn't been feeling well but 4pm the next day Martin looked at me and I knew it was time to make a run for the bathroom. Thankfully I still had the bucket out from the night before. Since I didn't get any sleep the last two night Doug and I did shifts with Martin. I was with him until 4am and that was when I decided I needed some sleep in my bed and Doug took over watch.
I'm so grateful for a wonderful husband who is willing to sleep on the floor or couch rubbing a 4 year old back as he throws-up. Doug is such an amazing Dad and he is always there to step in and help take care of the kids when I need a break for myself.

Martin and his Special Tooth
Yesterday was a little bit of a stressful day for Martin, Doug and I. Just to start off we brush his teeth every day morning and night.
Yesterday I look Martin in to get his teeth worked on he had 5 cavities and was in need of a baby root canal. Having been though two root canals and knowing what a control nut Martin is I was worried he would freak out. So the dentist, Doug and I thought it would be best if we sedated him for the dental work. They were very nice and informed me most kids would sleep the rest of the day and I would have to make sure he didn't walk without help and just to have him lay down all day.
We headed over to the dentist at 7am and they gave him orange liquid to drink and I think everyone had hoped it would have knocked him out but being Martin it only made him a little sleepy than next came the happy gas which he wasn't so sure about but he didn't having any problems once "the pretty nurse came in." He sat in the chair sleeping off and on but still knew what was going on because his pulse rate was in the 100's and the doctor said on average it should be around 65. At about 9am and several dollars lighter we headed home for a very interesting day. One second he would be crying about needing something and the next he would shout "THE BEST DAY EVERY." and than start to cry about something he wanted.
What I had hoped would be a nice restful day turned into the opposite and I had never been so glad that the dentist warned me Martin could also be grouchy.
In Martin's famous words "I hope this is my last Silver tooth." I couldn't agree more.
Life Goes On Even If Mom Doesn't Want It To.
I have been battling a nasty sinus infection which in turn has caused painful migraines. So basically if I can hide away in my house that is what I have been doing for several weeks and decided it was time to say "Alright migraines you win but since no one else is going to clean my house, wash the dishes and do the laundry than its time to fight back." So I took the good medicine and well the migraine is still "WINNING" but life must go on.
The last few weeks Zoey had made some major discoveries.
1. She Rolls and Rolls and Rolls everywhere.
2. She has found her voice and she is as nosy and as loud as the other two.
3. When she is put down on her back she will roll to her tummy and try to army crawl. Thankfully we Wimmers have big heads and she get tired out pretty fast.
4. Feet, Toes and hands are all capable of going into her mouth at any seconds. They must taste really good too because her feet are soaking wet from spit.
5. She is now sleeping in bed. After burning out two swing I decided she can figure out how to sleep without being in motion. SUCCESS on the first night!!
I love being a Mom. Some days are hard and some days are harder but the best part is when someone needs a hug, a hurt kissed or some serious cuddling the first person they go to is ME! I wouldn't change it for anything well maybe a little more peace right before bed time. :)
