Sweet Quite Moments
Recently Roxie has been waking up around 4am every morning and we can't seem to figure out why but last night made it worth all the sleepless nights. I went in to Roxie's room and sat down in the rocking chair and Roxie put her head on my chest and start to talk to me.
Yes it was just sounds but she sounded like she was telling me about her bad dream she had and than about a minute after she stopped talking she fell back asleep. It was one of the those moments that made me realize being a mom is the most important job I will ever have.
I just hope these nightmares will stop soon because Martin, Doug and I could all use a good night sleep soon.

Clips and Tutu's
I decided since Martin doesn't want to dress up for Halloween than I would at lest make something for Roxie. ( First Halloween.) Anyhow my sewing Machine and I are fighting again so I made a no sew Tutu and a few clips to go with the outfit.
Now I just need to get her in the outfit...That will be the true challenge.

General Conferance Projects
Every six months General Conference comes along and to keep my hand busy I decided to start cross stitching again. So last year I was working on Santa Clauses for Christmas gifts to my Visiting Teacher BUT the future Roxie gave me plenty of other things to work on so there they sat until I found the box of all my cross stitch. Currently I'm working on a Stocking for Roxie with what else SANTA CLAUSE!!
Thank you mom for teaching me something so wonderful I love to cross stitch and I hope to pass it onto Roxie.
Park and Messy Face
Its Cold According to Martin
Every morning Doug and I open the windows down stairs to left the cool morning air in the house. This is what happened his morning.
Martin: Mom may you go up stairs and get my blanket..please?
Me: Why?
Martin: Because I'm very cold and I want to get warm.
Dad: You are a true Arizona boy.
Martin: Please mom I'm freezing.
Me: I will get your blanket.
So I went up stairs and picked up Martins big blue blanket and head back downstairs.
Martin: (Jumped on the couch) Mom hurry I'm cold!!
This morning temperature was 63 degrees. Just remember for everyone who doesn't live out here.... We have 105+ temperature almost all summer long.

9 month Doctors Visit
Lets just say I am very impressed with Roxie's and her tolerance for pain. The doctors at 9 months test the infants Iron level and they poke the finger. I though Roxie is going to scream because lets face it I hate needles and I would tear up. BUT she didn't she didn't even make a sound or try to get away from the needle. I was a very proud mom but her Iron is a little low which only means she needs to take Iron vitamins.
Than the doctor came in and asked the typical questions of eating, developmental stages like saying Mama and Dada, Standing feeding her self and so on. The nice part was Roxie decided to show off her new skills of talking and standing! Roxie had two shots her hep B and the Flu. Martin also received his first flu shot but instead of giving him a shot they gave him a nasal spray. He cried and got more upset than Roxie who had two shots. He is my sensitive boy!! Since this is their first time with the flu shot they both have to get a second one in a month.. YUCK!!
Stats
WEIGHT: 18lbs 3oz (25%)
Length: 27.75 inches(55%)
Head: 18 inches (90%)
Teeth: 4 uppers and 2 lower
In a nutshell Roxie is perfect and and Martin is in love Doctor Winterland.
