I really liked this

Reason, Season, or Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Martin and Zoey Cuddling Watching Muppets

Martin teaching Roxie how to play the Piano.

Happy 6th Birthday Martin!  Tonight Doug, Grandpa Wimmer and Martin are going camping up in Payson AZ.  I wish I could go camping but someone has to take care of the girls and well I am sick again.  ARRG!!
I still can't believe Martin is turning 6 and heading into 1st Grade in just a few weeks.  Some days I feel it was just yesterday he was keeping me up all night because he wanted to he held and now he is 6 years old and trying to take over the world.  Martin is such a good big brother and he tries hard to take care of his little sisters and he said "I hope to be better big brother HOPEFULLY to a little brother."  No I am not pregnant but apparently Martin wants a little brother.

Happy Birthday to the sweetest Little Man!!

Martin bought Doug a Car Racing Kits for Father's Day

Lego Cupcakes

White Chocolate Lego on Chocolate Chocolate Cupcakes

The kids and I decided we wanted to make a very special Father's Day.  We went shopping and ended up spending way to much money at Target.  First stop the dollar section where we picked up glow sticks, bags and special candy.  Than off to the movie section to find Dad a movie he has been talking about.  Than we head to Barns and Noble and found the perfect Dad and Martin gift.  It is a race car set where everyone gets their own car, and they get to paint and decorate it.  I bought Doug a really silly book call 5 good reasons to punch a dolphin.  (Its our really silly humor)
Sunday is a really busy day with Doug's new calling so we had Eggs Benedict for Breakfast and than gifts before Doug's first meeting.
The Primary request 60 ties from the ward members and since Doug has so many he donated his ties.  The kids all decorated tires for the fathers and Doug had the lest amount of ties while one father in the ward was wearing 6.  Roxie gave Doug the pink tie and she decorated it herself  and the primary leaders made it very clear she did it herself.  They were all very proud of her.(Yes they let my 3 year old use a hot glue gun)

Than off to the Wimmers to keep celebrating Father's Day and Martin's Birthday (Tuesday the 19th)Normally we would have celebrated Martin's birthday on Tuesday but Doug is taking Martin camping for his 6th birthday.
Martin requested a Lego Cake so I came up with Lego Cupcakes.  Martin received two Lego sets, clothes and Nano Hexbug (http://www.hexbug.com/nano)  The kids loved this gift from Doug and I.  They spent 2 hours watching and playing with the bugs.  Then after Steaks, Cupcakes, and Popcorn we headed home to meet up with the Home Teachers before everyone was in bed by 8:30pm.  It was a long but wonderful day to celebrate Father's!!

New Calling and Broken Toe

Doug got a call from the Stake President requesting a visit.  I figure it was for the new Elder Qu. counselor because the old one move out.  I figured it wasn't anything big because they didn't request me to come into.  Than around 8:30am Sunday morning Stake Presidents office called again requesting that I come along too.  So we packed up the kids and headed over to church.  Everyone was so nice as always and we sat down with the 1st Counselor and we all talked and finally he asked if I would be will to support my husband as Ward Executive Sec.  I was a little taken back because I had planned on the EQ.  I said yes and we talked about what Doug would be doing.

During church after Doug was called everyone kept coming up to us and congratulating us.  I tried not to laugh because no one was congratulating me when I was called into RS.  Actually most everyone said "Good Luck, you are going to need it."
When they set Doug apart the Stake Counselor gave Doug a beautiful blessing for which I only heard 1\2 because I was trying really hard to keep the kids asleep.

Than I decided why does Doug get all the attention so I ran my baby toe into the high chair that has been sitting in the same place for over 4 years.  YUP!!

Dry Ice Bomb, Wasp, another missing tooth and future Model.

Thursday night Doug and I were trying enjoy a relaxing evening after getting Martin and Roxie to sleep when all of a sudden we hear a boom.  I went outside and found 1\2 my neighbors walking around trying to figure our what the sound was. (A house exploded about two months ago about a mile from our house)  I head towards the house where I knew it came form because three nights before they were setting off fireworks and about a week earlier they were having a loud pool party until 11pm. (We share a wall these neighbors.)  The closer I got the more laughing I head and another neighbor said "You have the whole neighborhood stop setting off the Dry Ice Bombs."  Which they relayed "OK".  Well I guess it wasn't really OK as in we are done but as OK we are going to keep being annoying
I have to deal with a lot having them as my backyard neighbor but when it comes to waking up my kids and causing them to cry that's where I draw the line!!
Anyhow about 15 mins later they set off another Dry Ice Bomb off and I had it so I called the police but I didn't press chargers because it seemed a little extreme but I wanted them to stop by and give them a warning.  After all I saw what a dry ice bomb did to my in-laws mailbox. (Dry Ice Bomb is not a Mentos and Soda combo.)  The police stopped by and gave a warning.
(Arizona prohibits dry ice bombs if there is an intent to cause injury, death, or damage to the property of another, as well as their possession by "prohibited possessors" such as convicted felons and illegal immigrants.)

We have an unwanted flying bug in our yard building a next for the second year in a row a WASP!!

The worst part is it has been trying to build a nest in the lock of our sliding screen door. Last night once she flew out we locked the screen door and hoped she would forget or find a new home.  NOPE!!  We woke up the next morning with a female Wasp locked between the screen door and the glass door.  The kids love watching her fly around and they spent two hours watching her fly around.

Martin has lost another tooth!!
That hole is for two teeth.  I am not sure where the two teeth are going to fit!!

My Future model!!!  Zoey was eating pancakes and somehow syrup went from the plate to her hair I guess syrup taste so much better in the hair.  I love the fact that she even has a pout going on.

Martin's Birthday 2 weeks away

This year we decided Martin could chose what he wanted to do for his birthday.  Now I know this is dangerous to ask a kid what they want.  At first he wanted a HUGE party with all his friend and than he decided on a camping trip with Dad and Grandpa.  They will leave Tuesday and come back late Wednesday night.  I thought WOW I got off easy this year until he said "Mom can you make me a LEGO cake or a Space Shuttle cake."  So I decided to punish myself and looked up on pinterest to see what I could make HAHAH.

I wish I was talented enough to give him his cake.

This is what mine will end up looking like.

Good thing kids only care about 3 things.
1. Blowing out the candles
2. Eating the cake
3. PRESENTS!!

I can't believe Martin is truing 6. He has lost two teeth and has one more very loose tooth.  I can't seem to figure out where all those HUGE new teeth are going to fit.  After all there wasn't enough room for all those small ones.

Good News!!  Martin finally decided going under water is tons of fun and we have been trying to teach him how to swim this summer.  I feel so accomplished in the fact that he will go under water and jump into this dad's arms off the side of the pool.  HE is such a control nut so this is a huge accomplishment.

Schedule

Martin is so used to a schedule that without one he feels really lost. This morning we started his schedule for the next 6 weeks and he seems to be really happy.  Every 1\2 hour he has something to do from practice writing, math, reading, playing games (Xbox, DS3ect) to working on art and play with Lego's.  Roxie on the other hand doesn't enjoy having a schedule and he upset she has to do what Martin is doing.  Oh well can't win them all.
Today we are making Orange Flavor cupcakes with Vanilla cupcakes in hopes of making Martin's favorite Popsicle Orangesicles.

Here's hoping for a happy and quieter day!!
